HOLLYWOOD, CA. - In a rather amazing insight into the lives of the rich and famous, it would appear that celebrities not only enjoy a higher standard of living, they actually go through more of the common longstanding household fixtures. Notably in the case of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, the couple goes through an astounding 3 sofas on average per month. Perhaps even more astounding, where they get them: Value City Furniture.
"Never in a million years would I picture Tom Cruise shopping at Value City for his sofa," said Larry Moreno, a furniture sales associate at the Value City in Culver City, CA.. "but, it is strange, he comes in and picks out the same one about three or four times per month."
Tom Cruise is known to jump up and down on sofas when happy. He's been very happy lately and the cause for celebration has come at the expense of furniture - cheaply made and affordable at least.
"I guess he realizes there is no sense in buying high end stuff if you are going to jump up and down on it," Moreno mused. "Still, with all his money, you would think he could just go to say, Pier 1, or something..."
Moreno gathered that he probably couldn't go to Pier 1. After all, jumping off a Pier is much different than sofa. But, you never know what those goofy celebrities will do next.
