ANAHEIM, CA - The Happiest Place on Earth is the last place you would suspect of shady activities besides overpriced bottled water. But earlier this year Anaheim, CA was struck with a surprising fiasco. Three well-known drug dealers, whom the authorities have been after for quite some time, were finally seized at the Magic Kingdom. Disney has been very good at keeping this on the "down low," but once again, one of CoverUps.com's readers in Fullerton, CA leaked this story to us.
The day went down just as any other day, blue skies, lots of happy vacationing families, and popular-character-suited employees at almost every corner. But around 2:00pm, the park was infiltrated by dealers.
The employee who took one of the men's tickets commented to us, "The moment I saw them I knew that they were up to no good. Usually old men have at least a date, they don't enter the park with other creepy men. And plus, they didn't seem really happy to be there."
Almost immediately following their entrance to the park, they congregated at a popcorn stand in Adventure Land. But by this time Disney Security had already picked up on the scene of trouble and had been watching them via security cameras.
The worker at this concessions stand was the person to confirm the transaction at 2:45pm. After the affirmative, they suspects were instantly taken down in front of many park-goers.
"The expressions on people's faces were that of pure shock," says the cart worker, "no one expects that this would happen at Disneyland. I can honestly say my customer's turnout went drastically down, which is sad, because the day is not complete without popcorn, and the people were robbed of that."
The fact that is was so unexpected as a spot to deal, considering the outrageous prices to get in, as well as the traffic, seems to be the main reason they chose it.
After being detained, they were hauled off to the infamous Disneyland jail that is rumored to be underground. Many have been held there, from teenage hooligans to angered parents. But this was the first time that the "magic jail" held such hardened criminals.
Once taken under the custody of Anaheim Police, they were quickly processed, followed by a fairly speedy trial where all three were sentenced to serious time. "I can't believe that these guys are finally behind bars," said Detective Sanders in a hidden article In the Orange County Register at the time. "They have been outsmarting us for years, but it turns out they couldn't outsmart the folks at Disney, and we are very thankful for their operations. Maybe we should should offer them a spot on the force." joked Sanders.
But jokes aside, the message was definitely received amongst the drug community, "Don't mess with Disney.
