Eggs, bacon, and cheese, a familiar
combination to those AM munchers. To millions of American's, the breakfast
sandwhich is a delight, it fills you up for hours. But there is a new
diner in Colorado that does things a little differently.
Marian Walker, the owner, added
a new ingredient mid 2006 to her special breakfast sandwhich, one that
many people will have a big problem with. "You know, we add onions,
tomatoes, green peppers, whatever else the customer asks for, but this
one I'm pretty firm on putting in."
The new ingredient is orange juice.
"Many people believe that a fruity addition would run the taste,
but it in fact makes it all that much better. I few squirts before the
placement of the bun does the trick."
Many sources around the country
are scoffing at this seemingly new craze, it appears that several other
resturants around the state are also implementing this. "You can
never have too much vitamin C," told Jerry Hughes, owner of Jerry's
Breakfast Shack, to coverups.com.
He also told us that lots of his customers actually ask for a double
dose of it.

The addition of the citrus bumps the price up a little,
especially in states like Colorado where oranges are imported. |
"I've had people refuse to
eat it after they found out what was inside, and I've also had some
storm out, those who've tried it keep coming back even more than
before I started using it," said Walker.
This increase in sales has lead
many to suspect foul play. A local Colorado newspaper ran a story which
claimed that Walker had put some kind of addictive drug in the mix and
uses the orange to cover it up. There however have been no charges,
but an investigation is still ongoing.
"These allegations are atrocious.
My oranges are pure. People are just jeaulous that they didn't think
to take what was in that glass next to the breakfast plate and fulfill
it's destiny."
