CHICAGO, IL - Every year the dreaded “Holiday Pound” season has haunted many Americans. The added calories from the numerous pies, cookies, and delicious food, drive many to New Year's resolutions to make up for the extra strain on the scale. In the past it was clear what was causing the extra flab, but in recent studies, many scientists have found a different culprit to the holiday weight gain, and also claim that the eggnog and fruit cake actually make you lose weight.
“That’s absolutely correct. Many health nuts have wanted the public to believe that for years the consequences of eating these large meals and numerous high-fat snacks were weight gain. But we have found that when our tests subjects ate the same volume and content of treats in the middle of May, they lost somewhere between five and fifteen pounds,” Dr. Robert Garcia told CoverUps.com.
We questioned him further, “the reason why people gain weight during the holiday season is not because of what they eat, it’s the combination of many different things. We found in our November/December test subjects that the ones that had participated in shopping, caroling, and hanging Christmas lights had suffered the worst changes. Of the ones who just ate all the food did not have any change. Even more interesting is the fact that our international subjects who do not celebrate Christmas at all lost up to twenty pounds each over the course of the holiday season.”
