eHarmony watch out! – thousands of Americans are coupling up at increasing rates, without even knowing what the other person looks like. |

BoxLove.com got more hits last month than any other online dating service, and the reason why so many people have subscribed to it is clear – and startling.
“The only true test of shallowlessness, is putting a box on your head,” said customer John Evans. “If you’re really committed to getting to know someone because of their personality, well, BoxLove.com is the place for you.”
After picking a potential mate based on their profile, BoxLove reveals contact info for the two parties to meet, and suggests box-friendly activities (eating is discouraged, since doing so while wearing a box is difficult for many). Strict BoxLove rules require the couple to wear their box the whole time (but each person may decorate their box to their liking).

John Evans was BoxLove.com’s first success story. He and Mrs. Box were married in October. He prefers to decorate his box while wearing it, saying “my hands will draw what’s right.” |
“I couldn’t believe how happy I could be after meeting someone on one of these sites,” Evans told CoverUps.com, “Judy and I could not be happier. All those other sites set people up basically just based on looks. You aren’t going to go out of your way to meet someone fugly, no matter how compatible your profiles.”
Rules posted on BoxLove’s home page include ones like these:
Boxes are not to be removed for any reason (excepting for life-threatening moments like choking) during the first two dates.
The third date may be box free, so long as it is a week after the 2nd date. This time restriction allows for due consideration (mostly by the female), to make sure the box removal is not rushed.

Jim and Kathy, now engaged, talk of how none of the other dating sites worked for them. |
“I couldn’t fend off all the sleazebags that wanted me for my blonde hair and D-cups. That’s not the kind of attention I wanted,” says Kathy.
Jim also expressed grievances many men will find familiar:
“When girls look at a photo, they judge based on hair color, eye, color, what not, and frequently write someone off as a meathead. You can’t see sensitivity in a picture.”
So the next time you see a couple of people sitting at a table with boxes on their heads, leave them be. Don’t ruin the moment.
