LAKE TAHOE, CA - The costly fire that burned beautiful northern California on June 24th of this year, has revealed new clues as to the real culprit, the media reports. The 3,100 acres and 254 homes destroyed over an eight day period, costing 12.1 million dollars, may have been started by an illegal campfire

"They always blame the campers, I swear," exclaimes Ryan Hagen, a South Lake Tahoe resident. "It's so easy to point the finger at us recreationists so the authorities don't have to do real work. Myself, as well as many other people in this area, have had many 'illegal' campfires for years, and it's almost impossible to start a blaze by just enjoying some good s'mores."

Every home-owner's worst nightmare. Although many are insured against fire, people are still outraged to hear that their lives have been turned upside down because of the absence of a $20 fire alarm in a bureaucrat's office.

CoverUps.com has received many letters from Californians, angry at the media for ignoring what really started the fire. They claim that it was actually a missing fire detector, that did not go off, when a romantic candle-lit aniversary lunch of an unnamed government official, spread vigorously in a local government building.

Recent news stories have revealed that there was an initial delay in response to calls made to the CHP's Truckee communications center. Ron William's informed us that they told him it was just simply a controlled burn.

"I was initially suspicious because they seemed to be fumbling their words, with very little confidence in the lies they were spewing at me," said Williams. "plus, the break in protocol made me start looking into it deeper." (CHP was supposed to keep Williams on the line, but they let him hang up.)

"It was then I knew, that they had not had the time to get the story straight. Not all had got the memo to blame the scapegoat."
