Little "Nessies" to be Coastguards: Recently, CoverUps.com decided to interview "Nessie," the Lock Ness Monster, for our frequent monster reports. Upon entering the bog of the Lock Ness Lake we were surprised to find Nessie running later than usual. As she surfaced from the water, with tears in her eyes, she wailed that the U.S. Navy had stolen her recent litter of little Lock Ness pups. Without her consent, the government seized her children, telling her that they are of ample use as scientific experiments involving the use of monsters as homeland security protection, which was in lieu of the recent terrorism episodes.

Taking "Nessie's" pups back to the U.S., the government conducted several studies on the pups and their abilities to withstand severe temperature extremes, periods of starvation, physical endurance, and top recorded speeds. After it was discovered that the Loch Ness pups had blown the Naval Coastguard and Seals out of the water (pardon the pun) the test results provided exactly what the government had hoped for.

Quarantining the pups in a lockdown facility in Utah, the pups have been undergoing extensive training to replace the human coast guard service. Still undecided if they want to completely phase out human defense forces, or alternatively add the pups to the defense team. The government is hoping that by 2006 the pups will be old enough to work (as stipulated by the Juvenile Monster Work and Treatment Protection Act of 1895), and will be ready for rapid submersion into the U.S. Coast Guard defense system.
