Penny’s interpretation of her Unicorn friend, Pookie.

Fairytales' Most Adaptable Creature - after being long suspected to be a mere myth associated with the pixie dust and monsters of children fairytales, recent evidence has uncovered that Unicorns truly do exist! After little six year old Penny submitted her drawing of what she called “a picture of my real good fun time with Pookie the Unicorn and how we looked when I met him outside my mommy’s house.” Apparently having stumbled across the mythical creature on her way to school, Penny espied the Unicorn grazing in the back alley of her local school yard (Penny always walks in the back way into school. Perhaps she should tell her mommy this.) whereby Penny approached the friendly creature and str uck up the wittiest banter a six year old could muster.

Three minutes later, at approximately 7:46 AM ET, Penny sat down to draw a picture of her new friend Pookie. Just as she was about to give him her beautiful drawing her teacher, Mrs. Snellsbee, came running after her and screamed aloud. Penny said “a very noisy bad sounding yell” that she said “scared away my new friend.” As the Unicorn has scampered off, Penny was left standing in tears, holding onto her beautiful picture intended for the majestic creature.

So, after hours of crying, she convinced her mother to submit the photo to us in hopes that we could help her find Pookie. Thinking that perhaps Unicorns only like young children, we sent out our youngest employee (who is coincidently diminutive in stature) in hopes they could unveil some more Unicorn sitings; particularly Pookie. Successfully, our stealth employee spotted three unicorns to date. As we are very busy our journalist hasn’t had the time to continue his research but hopes that he can recommence his pursuit and help Penny find her Pookie once more!

One of the apparent 14 wild Unicorns of Waco, Texas.

Apparently unruly in behavior, their small stature is rather deceiving, and must be approached with caution. They are especially irritated by cranky old people and cynics. (9/16/2005: Waco, Texas, 1:38 PM, MT)

Another Unicorn sighting in Europe.

Here is a member of the Eruditea Unihornea species. Known for their particularly long horn and their chameleon like quality, here you see one blending in with his local surroundings. (10/03/2005: Lancashire, England, Europe, 3:45 PM)
