TWA Flight 800: Visitor Comments - CoverUps.com
From Mike on Long Island- I live on Long Island, maybe 20 miles from where the TWA Flight 800 tragedy occurred. I’ll list a few things that I learned from casual conversations with some people. NONE of these are made up, they’re all from actual conversations. Item 1: A conversation I had with an acquaintance, who happened to be one of the many FBI agents investigating Flight 800:
Item 2: A different acquaintance was an engineer at a radar electronics company in the summer of 1996. He told me that he and others looked at some of the radar tapes tracking Flight 800. The tapes showed the path of an object approaching and then intersecting the path of flight 800. He and his colleagues were then told by FBI agents “… as far as you’re concerned, these tapes don’t exist”. Item 3: Another acquaintance was among a group of people on the beach at Smith Point Park on the evening of July 16, 1996. One of the friends in his group was one of the 100+ people who witnessed the upward trajectory of an object that appeared to strike Flight 800 just before it exploded. Item 4: In a conversation with an individual that reviewed the flight data recorder tape, I was told that in the last few seconds before the end of the tape (i.e., the explosion), there was an indication of an extremely abrupt turn by the aircraft. That is, what appeared to be an indication that something hit the aircraft. However, this last portion of the FDR tape was never made public – that is, the public version is that the tape “ended” just prior to this apparent jolt. The INTERNAL (non-public) “party line” rationale for this decision by Boeing chief honcho Phil Condit was that Boeing didn’t didn't want to look like it was engaging in finger pointing or excuse making. From Boeing’s P.R. and business standpoint, does that really make sense? I’ve already drawn my conclusion about whether or not there was a cover-up about TWA Flight 800. You can draw your own. From Peter - Who did it? After reading First Strike by Jack Cashill as well as other theories and accounts, I believe the theory put forth by Cashill makes the most sense. This was an Al Qaeda attack, quite possibly with a suicide plane (see Cashill, et al.) with one or possible two missiles from the Navy warship known to be in the vicinity converging on the suicide plane at or near the point where it struck the doomed jetliner. The CIA "video," in which the disgraced cyberterrorism czar Richard Clarke played a central role, was a complete fabrication, much like the Warren Commission Report. The question now becomes why? Look at the dismal Clinton record on terrorism, both prior to this point and after it: * 1993: US soldiers are attacked, killed and dragged naked in the streets of Mogadishu, Somalia. Clinton's reaction? Tuck tail between legs, cut and run. * 1993: World Trade Center is attacked by terrorists connected to both Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda. Clinton's reaction? None ... to a blatant act of war, he unleashed federal prosecutors instead of US Special Forces on the enemy. * 1995: Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City is destroyed with a truck bomb. Despite numerous eyewitnesses that place a former Saddam Hussein operative at the scene of the blast in the companionship of Timothy McVeigh and the existence of telephone records tying Terry Nichols to Al Qaeda operatives in the Philippines, the Clinton Justice Department headed by Janet Reno instead fails to pursue these leads, and Clinton himself tries to link the blast to Newt Gingrich and Rush Limbaugh in the public eye. * 1995: Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia leveled by blast carried out by operatives connected to both Al Qaeda and Hezbollah. Clinton's reaction? None. * 1998: Al Qaeda carries out attacks on US embassies in North Africa. Clinton's reaction? An empty gesture bombing of an aspirin factory in the Sudan and a vacant terrorist training camp in Afghanistan. * 2000: USS Cole attacked. Clinton's reaction? None, despite a direct attack on a US warship. Eventually, the leaders of the attack are either captured or killed by US forces in the months after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania. Why was it done? A simple explanation exists: for Bill Clinton to admit this was an act of war would force him to do one things he did not wish to do in an election year: retaliate with the US military. First, it would require Clinton to use the military, something he loathed and was clearly uncomfortable even around, and second, it would focus the attention of the American public on his ineffective pursuit of terrorism as a criminal/law enforcement matter as opposed to a military matter, which is how President Bush has chosen to (effectively) pursue it. For the record, if elected, John Kerry has vowed to return the war on terror back to the Justice Department as a criminal/law enforcement matter. From Rick - Here's the real deal...I spent 11 years flying the 747 mostly as Captain so I know what I am talking about....at least as far as the airplane technical stuff. The rest of it is opinion like everyone elses.... -The center tank was mostly empty as the jet was only flying to Paris and the main tanks hold more than sufficient quanity of fuel (240,000 pounds) for the trip in question. -Jet A is HARD to ignite-its' not like gasoline at all. In fact you can take a match, cigarette, whatever, and hold it to a cupfull of Jet A and the match-or cigarette- will flame out!! -The quanity of fuel in the center tank, if it did ignite, is not sufficient to cause the massive damage incurred to the structure of the airplane. The most that would happen is the belly skins would have been torn off-and that is a non event as far as an accident is concerned. Source-Boeing. -The fuel pumps, motors, electrical wiring to the pumps-you name it-are all OUTSIDE the tank. The only thing in the tank is the fuel probes and they operate on milivolts...hardly enough to caused detonation of fuel-unless your a government scientist in a laboratory:) In short the people that design these things(Boeing) are not stupid!!! -The section 41 (cockpit) was demated from the rest of the airplane during the explosion. There is a reason why this is significant. The 747 is an extremely strong structure because it was designed before the advent of the supercomputer. That means the structure was deliberately overbuilt by 10 percent. We will never see another airplane built as stong as this one again. It is unbelievable the amount of punishment this thing will take and still stay together-including being flown way past "redline" -VMO for pilots-and overstressed during recovery as well!!! Don't even think about doing this in an Airbus. -The remainder of the fuselage departed from its' original flight track by more than 90 degrees in fractions of a second. We are talking about 600,000 or more pounds of airplane traveling about 350 kts. -This is not Stinger or GA7 that did this....this was a BIG WARHEAD from a BIG MISSLE. The most a Stinger-small heat seeker warhead- would do to a "74" is knockoff an engine. In fact the reason the engine is built on a pylon and suspended from the wing is to ensure that if the engine exploads and demates from the airplane it will be a "survivable event." -Don't believe it was ours either...the missle that is. -Who Did it????

The government of Iran, for example, has been fighting war with the US with proxy armies for over 20 years-and our governments almost complete lack of "meaningful response" to those events have a lot to do with this event. Why?? -After September 11th it should be obvious.
-Who covered it up? again-list of short suspects-Bill Clinton Why- Bill did a secret deal with bin Laden or one of his henchmen to keep from scaring the daylights out of the US public. Can you see Bill going before the US public on TV and telling us that our airplanes can basically be shot down at will by people with the right equipment? He gave them something they wanted...I don't know what. And in return they promised to be good....till the next time.
From John - There is a good chance that terrorists "smuggled" one of our stinger missile back into the United States from Afghanistan. Since in the 80's, we gave hundreds of hand held stinger units to the Northern Alliance. I'm sure we don't have all the missiles we gave to them still in inventory. Also, a stinger's range veries from 1-8 kilometers with a max ceiling of 10,000 feet. TWA 800 could have possilby been brought down by a stinger...but lets take a closer look at those "Only once published" pictures of the "UFO" over Albany International Airport. They look a lot like a stinger to me. It would just be like out government to coverup a breach in natinal security...especially since the disaster of 9-11.
From Wayne - Sad to say I think it was probably an accidental missile hit, most lightly a navy missile, they were missile testing in that area, and the missile may have locked on to the jumbo by mistake, the cover up would be to protect the government from lawsuits. Remember the US navy shot down a civilian airliner in the gulf a few years ago they mistook it for a fighter. * * *

Fuelmaster of New Jersey... I work In aviation, Primarily Fueling Aircraft. I must say some information some theorist have produced are either untrue or misstated. A trans-Atlantic 747 flight will fill (at least 10,000 lbs. of Jet-A fuel in the center tank. I have fueled many departing EWR including a 747-400 belonging to the Saudi Royal Family, and Air Force One, a 747-200 ( a heartwrentching and very scary experience I must say).. So the center fuel tank is unlikely to be emty as it is one of the three main fuel tanks on 747's (six to eight total). Even if the tank was nearly empty.. it is more dangerous than full. As I have shown many co-workers I have trained.. Jet-A, the primary civilian Jet Fuel designation (JP-4, JP-5 for military), When a tank is fuel will not ignite without SEVERE heat. I demonstrated this with a half full drum of said fuel. By dropping a lit cigarette into the barrel. It extinguished the cigarette. I then opened a lid from another container with only 1 gallon of Jet-A, after it was able to produce the vapors needed for it to ignite... the Show was quite a sight... See the chemical make-up of Jet fuel will burn only after it heats enough to produce a vaporous mist wich the turbofan engine ignites. to produce thrust. So if the Center fuel tank was nearly empty (unlikely, 1/2 or 1/4 full maybe) It would be more likely to ignite and destroy the aircraft than a full fuel tank. As you saw on 9-11 only a sort yet rather large fireball on impact yet the fuel was burning for an hour..that was in part due to the fuel was burning rather slowly.

He launched at sundown, toward the Atlantic and then noticed the plane. He wasn't too worried at first because the plane was pretty high and he figured it would be at a safe distance if the rocket did reach that altitude. Unfortunately the rocket has no guidance system and the high level winds steered the rocket straight into the path of the plane. He screamed "TURN, TURN" to no avail. He figured he'd be in trouble if the rocket damadged the plane. He saw it strike and was horrified to see the resulting explosion. He cried for days and contemplated suicide ever since. After being unable to deal with the guilt anylonger. he took his life two days ago. The speed of the rocket (mach2 plus) was able to send it through the belly of the aircraft and the fuel tank (that was the bang noise on the black box). The rocket had no warhead but the solid rocket fuel engine would have ignited the jet fuel (that explaines the lack of explosive but presence of rocket fuel residue). Most of all this explains the numerous accounts of seeing a missle heading toward the plane. Let his story be told.

What I do not find mention of is the fact when they pieced this aircraft back together the FAA could not make sense of it. From Ray of Texas... WHO = The U.S. Navy WHY = Accidental missile off course HOW = They were in the vicinity for a missile strike to have occured. OTHER = TWA Flt 800 may have been a sacrificial lamb, to placate Iran for another airliner that the Navy shot down. Shortly afterward the Navy Chief of Staff killed himself suposedly over a medal, not likely, I think he wanted to go public that the navy shot down this aircraft (Holy Vincent Foster):)

No explosive residue was found because the missile wasnt live. Navy doesnt use explosive missiles for targeting over Long Island. However, the missile struck the aircraft behind First class, causing the nose to seperate.The President covered it up for political reasons. With Clinton cutting defense costs saying the military is functional enough without more training, one could argue that blowing up a commercial airliner is contrary to his belief. OTHER = A center fuel tank explosion would have charred most of the middle of the aircraft and would not have broken up in the places it did.

OTHER = The national press was dogged into reporting the Govt line about the fuel tank fiasco after seeing one of it's own prosecuted illegally. There were 183 witnesses who saw a streak of light or a missle, some of which saw the missle's point of origin on the surface of the water. The NTSB is as guilty as the USN.

THE PERFECT SPOT FOR A TARGET. ANY KIND OF TARGET. IT IS USUALLY THE MOST VOLURNABLE POINT. ALSO, WHY WAS THE NTSB DENIED TO TALK TO THE WHITNESSES BY THE CIA?

From Stan in Florida... WHO = A lowly navy destroyer or frigate "forward shooter" during warmup for a simulated (drone targets but no live rounds) CEC Test to be conducted later in W-105. See alt.disasters.aviation for details. WHY = Lack of concern and accountability for reliability and safety by NAVSEA/higher. Corruption. It's cheaper and quicker to make stuff if it doesn't have to work right. Higher profits. HOW = The CEC test was to be a giant Nintendo game - nothing more. Perfectly safe. Training Standard Missile Rounds "blue cans" have no warhead (a telemetry package instead) and no rocket motor (so they cannot go anywhere). Still, they can simulate everything, stuck into a MK 41 VLS with the help of a drone for a target. This training round was an SM-2 BLK IIIB prototype (stuck a Hughes MK 104 NDI Heatseeker on it for guidance, since the ship couldn't "illuminate.") Somehow a rocket motor snuck into the test item. Strictly a contractor mistake. When the FT turned the key to warm up the system, the computer self-test tested the firing circuit (safe, since there was no motor, right?); well, you know the rest of the story. OTHER = The entire ship's crew from the captain on down is being victimized by this tragic missile contractor mistake/coverup. They're threatened with 10 years in Leavenworth if it leaks, and life-plus-forever if they go public. Details are much worse. It was my misfortune to see TWA 800 SAM'd on CNN repeatedly the evening of the tragedy and understand what I saw. Linden Soles, the anchor, was visibly stressed over it. The suggestion that CNO Boorda committed suicide over the coverup is interesting indeed.

Believe those casualties may be part of a group punitive act cause serving that FBI instructor a warrant might lead to Nixon/Reagan double agent ring. Recently the FBI/USDJ claims there is no record on me - too bad that courage is 11 years too late. merci beau coup...mon ami. Also - believe J Carter's release of Gordon Liddy may also connect with masonic/mossad attempts on my life. Also - a Bundy resides next to my Grandad's home in Hornell, NY - believe the root cause of the Raytheon problem lies in a McClellan enemy alien profile generated in 1968 on me after winning a speech contest suggesting JFK was a cornerstone of democracy. I'd been better off speaking about the legionnaires of dien bien phu. Also - believe the Kennedys@Clarkson circ 1974 were surveilling me to present some sort of romantic connection to fuel the mossad style sutors stalking me in Onondaga County. The bombing in Beiruit as well as twa 800 are all used to suppress the truth about anti catholic forces (masons/mossad) and anti italian forces (McClellan operatives) whom stalk me since 1968. From St eve of California... WHO = The United States Navy WHY = "Ooops...the missle didn't lock onto the right target... Crap! Are gonna be in trouble for shooting down that airliner? Lets get out of here!" HOW = It was a mistake, but the ramifications of that mistake were simply too huge for the government to admit to it. I saw a press conference on C-Span about a group of retired airline pilots who were investigating the crash. They showed radar evidence of the ships which were near the crash site. Most of the ships traveled immediately to the crash zone to help look for survivors. But several ships, instead of offering assistance, left the area at high speed. Additionally, the Navy denied conducting war games that evening. Later, they admited that they were. Lastly, there were simply too many independent witnesses who watched the missle launch, travel upwards, and strike the aircraft. OTHER = If it was terrorists, why would they go to the trouble and risk of shooting down (or bombing) the plane and then not take credit for it.

WHY = as crazy as it may sound I have propehtic dreams and I had a dream of the twa flight 800 crash the night before it crashed. HOW = It has something to do with two wires near some kind of box in the plane one wire is a thick blue wire and the other is a thick orange wire near a black box. OTHER = this is what i saw in my dream before i saw the plane crash down. reminder: it takes one silly person to start a nation wide falsified rumor. From "Mr. I don't want national security after me"... WHO = A BIG MISTAKE (obviously not recognized by the navy) WHY = Error, either machine, computer or human (in the missile that hit the plane). HOW = I have a friend that works in Lan Chile, the main Chilean airline. He told me that two of his friends,pilots for the airline, were flying off NY the same night as the TWA flight. They where told by the controllers to keep a minimum altitude off NY because of military exercises. Later they were told not to speak to the media about the issue (you ever wonder why we haven't seen other airline pilots talk about it on TV.. no you know). Obviously, the TWA flight didn't keep it's minimum altitude or one of the missiles in the navy exercise went off course. OTHER = As an electrical engineer, I now that machines do fail. Either the altimeter in the plane was misreading (reading the pilots a higher altitude than they actually were), or failure in the missile's computer (either at ground or on the missile itself). The theory given by the investigation is pretty thin. Static electricity doesn't build up in such a short time (remember planes are grounded before take off). And if it was like that, our cars would be blowing up every day by static electricity sparks in our fuel tanks... come on!.. they should have come up with something better. But's let's not forget that this was probably an accident. It was covered up just because the Navy/government didn't want to be held responsible by the death of 200+. (you can see now the big mess they are in because of the Japanese merchant ship they sunk in Hawaii). Your Name = I don't want national security after me.. thanx.

From Someone... Forward cargo door opened inadvertantly and ruptured, tearing a large section of fuselage with it. It has happened before only this time the nose of the plane tore off also. Check out the cargo door website.

From Someone... i really love you guys who think that a tommahawk 'shot' the planne down. the tommahawk is a cruise missile designed to fly long distances and hopefully hit a building (which doesnt move very fast) the navy wouldnt test one off NY and if they did it still wouldnt get high enough. i work for a missile de fense company and pretty much everything said about missiles on this page is wrong (no, not all, i cant say what as i value my job) enjoy the meaningless debate... |
